What we do
One of ten infants are born preterm and many of them need intensive care. As their lungs are not fully developed, they risk serious illnesses and complications that can lead to lifelong disabilities. At Neola Medical, we are developing a medical device, Neola® for continuous monitoring of the lungs of preterm born infants. With our product, doctors and nurses can early detect when complications arise, which enables immediate care and greater chances of survival and a better life.

You will
Be part of our team developing a vital medical device based on advanced optical gas measurement technology. The main task will be to develop and maintain the embedded software for our medical device and your role will also include taking the responsibility to maintain and develop the overall system architecture and design, including electronics, mechanics, optics and software.

Your work will be performed in accordance with medical device regulations and all work will be documented in our quality management system.

You are
We are looking for a driven colleague that possess general technical understanding and good problem-solving skills. You should also be self-driven, taking responsibility and have the possibility of switching between many different types of tasks.

  • You have a M.Sc. in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • You have at least three years of experience in developing embedded software in C, preferably for ARM Cortex-M MCUs.
  • You have experience in developing software for real-time operating systems.
  • You are familiar with and understand electronics at least on a level necessary for embedded software development.
  • You are comfortable to use electrical measurements tools for problem solving hands-on.
  • You have experience in working with source version control such as Git, GitHub, GitLab.
  • You have the capability to maintain and improve an engineering verification application in Python.

You can confidently apply a range of technical skills across various disciplines and exhibits a proactive, hands-on approach to your work.

If you have experience in software development at PC level, that is a plus. Experience with software development following the IEC 62304 standard is appreciated. You are also fluent in English, written and spoken.
